A moonlight journey to start a season of Gratitude..
PSALM 104:19
HE MADE THE MOON FOR THE SEASONS
Journeying with God
Details
- On Sunday, October 16th folks will gather in the courtyard of Saint Stephen's Church at 6 pm.
- We will share some food and prayers, hear some traditional stories about the Jewish holiday of Sukkoth, and then journey across the river to walk the Chadwick Arboretum labyrinth as the October full moon rises at 7:30 p.m.
- Around 8:30 p.m. we return to the church for more reflection and fellowship.
Details
- Participants may want to walk the 3/4 miles to the labyrinth location and back, especially if it proves to be a pleasant evening. For those who prefer to save their walking energies for the labyrinth, there is ample parking at the arboretum for a small fee, and carpooling will be organized from the church and back.
- Materials on both Sukkoth and labyrinths will be available at the event, but the text here have hyperlinks to general information about these topics as well.
- Parking at the church will be available, including passes for free parking in the Arps Garage across Woodruff Avenue. People who park in the garage are welcome to participate in the carpooling to the arboretum rather than driving separately.
- There is no fee for the event. There will be a free will offering basket for those who participate in the meal. We do ask that everyone planning to attend fill out the RSVP form found via the link at the top of the page.
